Good morning,
I just read your "frustration" about the inactivity of this account. I wanted to let you know that it was found to be an interesting and frightening story about what happened to your mother. I had the lap-band, I am happy with mine - safer and it works. But most people probably come here to read and learn more than post. There are no words that can help you with the loss of your mom. Biliopancreatic bypass (BPB) combines a modest amount of eating restriction with lack of complete digestion or absorption of food. This procedure and similar operations including the distal Roux-en-Y technique and duodenal switch are becoming increasingly popular.
